About this painting
The Ibizan hound’s body is absurd in the best way: it’s lean, arched, and built to clear a six-foot wall from a dead stop. I wanted to show it’s entire form in profile, rather than a face portrait, to echo how 19th century equestrian artists would portray a horse to honor and memorialize it’s impeccable form—but with a more contemporary twist.
