Lotus blossoms mirror something I keep returning to in my own life: the growth that only comes from being in the muck. Lotus flowers root in the mud, find their way toward light, and bloom spectacularly. We all know what it feels like to be in that mud. The trials, the discomfort, the desperate wanting-out. But it's the mud that builds the strength to transcend it. The egrets speak to what's possible when we push past our comfort zones, and the unexpected beauty waiting on the other side of change. The hard-edged blocks of color aren't quite pixels, but the resemblance is deliberate. They're a quiet nod to how thoroughly our digital lives have colonized our attention. And how nature, in contrast, remains one of the most reliable remedies we have. Letting it recalibrate something in us that screens cannot.
