About this painting
I have been fascinated by in between spaces lately. Like lucid dreaming, being between knowing and not knowing, and shedding one identity while forming another. Elsewhere speaks to these ideas, and more specifically to lucid dreams—being suspended in effortless motion. The ease of it. The magic of it. Where the environment feels real but also surreal. Deer represent intuitiveness, quiet strength, sensitivity, and spiritual renewal which makes them a perfect subject to evoke this type of realm.
