Aimee, good on ya!
I occasionally examine that same inherent conflict: make a living doing commissioned work, or enhance my personal growth and inner life by doing non-commissioned work! I keep talking about coming to a balance, but who has the time? Plus, the creativity I pour in to my commissions leaves the tank pretty dry for the non-commissioned stuff.

I'm thrilled for you going in your new direction, and look forward to watching what evolves. I love watching your progressions.
Go, Aimee!! :D

Hi Kari! I might make the answer to your question my next blog post. The short version is that certain photos take a long time, others don't. Plus there's the wait list. Thanks for the comment...and the idea! :)

You have now turned a ordinary looking goat into a soulful and aristocratic goat. I was amazed at the turn around time for the portrait. I am now wondering what was it like to live with a portrait from 3 to 6 months? The goat is beautiful..

Although this is EXTREMELY selfish of you, I guess you have to occassionally do stuff for yourself. : ) Maybe you should fall in love with hippos and paint a series on them! Just a suggestion. Love the goat and I hope you get around to the Takin! I'm sure that portrait would be takin' my breath away...

Alright I hate myself now for that awful joke.

Whenever I do finally get the funds I'm going to have to demand you do Lexi and Sadie's portrait. That's me being selfish!
